optical sound tracks may be played back.

1. Put OPT-MAG

to the Optical position and

2. Connect the supplied microphone (or any

panel. A record player or tape recorder may be plugged

into

the

"PHONO"

input.

3. Depress the small silver

below the

function

switch and

turn

the three-position

function

switch to record

(R).

Adjust

the Volume Control to obtain the proper recording

level as indicated on the record level indicator.

The best recording level is obtained when the needle

just

touches the red line.

the needle is allowed to swing

into

the red area, the recorded sound may be distored.

5. Run the

film,

watch the screen, record

your

voice or music

on the

film.

6. Playback - rewind

film,

turn

function

switch to the magnetic

playback position (M), disconnect microphone or tape re-

corder - run

film

and check the

quality

the sound just

recorded.

7. A magnetic sound track may be

erased

by running the

film

through the projector

with

the

function

switch in ( R ) and

the Volume Control in the

minimum

position and the

MIC

disconnected.
